Partner Up

Had the good fortune today to have my partner in crime back in the booth for recording, and it reminded me how nice it is to read with your castmates. I can imagine it's nice from the director's side as well to be able to hear the scene play out, and then shape the whole thing right there.

Not only that, the improv energy flows much better when you're working with somebody. Monologuing is a skill, to be sure, but another person is an unkown element, and it's that unkown that is key to inspiring new ideas.

Like if someone else could come in and write part of this blog right now...
